THA-BKK-01 Royal Palace & Wat Phra Kaew Half Day

ITINERARY:
Visit Bangkok's landmark, the Grand Palace with the beautiful temple complex Wat Phra Kaew. Experience all the highlights, such as the famous Emerald Buddha or the throne room.
At 8:00 am you will meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel in Bangkok and together you will drive to the Royal Palace with the enchanting Wat Phra Kaew Temple.
The Royal Palace or Grand Palace (Great Palace) extends over an impressive area of around 69 hectares and belongs to the "City of Angels" just like the Eiffel Tower to Paris. The main landmarks of Bangkok include the Royal Palace and the magnificent temple of Wat Phra Kaew, which together form a beautiful ensemble. For most visitors to Thailand, this facility is at the top of the must-see list.
First, visit Wat Phra Kaew. It houses the famous Emerald Buddha and is one of the most famous temples in Thailand. Unlike in other complexes, no monks live here. In the main building of the temple, the so-called ordination hall, there is said Buddha statue, which dates from the 15th century. You can also admire magnificent golden chedis (pagodas), intricately designed towers and ornate buildings at Wat Phra Kaew.
Then visit the magnificent Royal Palace. Artistic paintings show the attention to detail that is often reflected in Thai art. Mythological statues can be found in the extensive galleries. Among other things, you will see the majestic throne room. It served as a workplace for the former king and is still used today by his heir to the throne for special ceremonies or awards. In addition to other buildings, you can also see the mortuary of the royal family.
Around 11:00 a.m. you will drive back to your hotel, which you will reach around 12:00 p.m.
