ITINERARY:
On this leisurely afternoon tour, you will travel through the klongs of Thonburi, the Venice of the East, in a converted traditional rice barge and enjoy the uniquely authentic flair.
Around 1pm your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Bangkok and take you to the Chao Phraya River. From here you first take a traditional long-tail boat through the smaller canals of the Thonburi district, also known as the Venice of the East. Glide in the pretty wooden boat past the traditional stilt houses from which the residents fish for fresh fish in the river or wash their laundry by hand. The further you drive into the klongs, the more you will see the daily life of the locals. From time to time there are also boats with hawkers who offer cold drinks and souvenirs on their original boats.
At around 3:15 p.m. you change to the beautiful former rice barge Wan Fah. Now you cruise through the broader canals of Thonburi. You drive past other simple wooden dwellings and large housing estates Experience the contrasts between traditional and modern ways of life.
At approximately 4:00 PM, depart for the River City Pier. From here you will be driven back to your hotel, where you will arrive around 5:00 p.m
